Academics
Konstfack offers a comprehensive curriculum across various artistic disciplines, including Fine Art, Graphic Design and Illustration, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, Textile Design, and Ceramics and Glass. The teaching approach is characterized by practical investigation, imaginative ability, and critical dialogue, encouraging students to develop their artistic practice and explore new working methods. International Students
Konstfack has a strong international character, with exchange agreements with approximately 60 universities and colleges worldwide, welcoming students from over 25 countries. While undergraduate courses are primarily taught in Swedish, instructors provide information and instructions in English, and some freestanding courses and Master's programs are taught entirely in English. The Student Union plays an active role in fostering a positive social climate, organizing events and supporting student groups such as a Repair Cafe, Running Club, Soccer Club, Boulder Club, and Game Club. Konstfack also provides support services for exchange students, including assistance with accommodation and information regarding visas and residence permits.
Campus & Location
Konstfack is situated in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, known for its vibrant culture and innovative design. The campus is housed in a former LM Ericsson telephone factory in Telefonplan, transformed into a modernist structure with state-of-the-art facilities. These include extensive workshops for various crafts like woodwork, metalwork, screen-printing, glassworks, and ceramics, as well as photo and TV studios and a comprehensive art and design library. The Telefonplan subway station provides convenient transportation to and from the campus.
