Petru Maior University of Târgu Mureș

Petru Maior University of Târgu Mureș, founded in 1960, was a public higher education institution in Târgu Mureș, Romania. In September 2018, it merged with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureș to form the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș (UMFST Târgu Mureș). The former Petru Maior University now operates as three non-medical faculties within UMFST: Engineering & IT, Sciences & Letters "Petru Maior", and Economics & Law.
