Virovitica itself is a small city in northeastern Croatia, serving as the administrative, economic, cultural, and educational center of the Virovitica-Podravina County. The city offers a quiet atmosphere with a rich history, including the Baroque-Classicist Pejačević Castle and a beautiful park. Public transportation within Virovitica primarily consists of bus and train services, and the closest international airport is Međunarodni aerodrom Banja Luka, approximately 99 kilometers away.
