International applicants must be 18 years or older and meet English proficiency requirements, typically an IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent. The institution is registered under the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), complying with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000. While AFTRS does not provide on-campus accommodation, its Student Centre offers advice on off-campus options in surrounding suburbs.
